Ledgent is partnering with a small company in Saint Paul adding an AP Specialist to their team. This role is responsible for high-volume invoicing doing 3-way matching,.
Direct Hire. $55,000-$60,000/annually. On-site. 7:30-4:30 or 8-5.
Job Description:
Invoicing
- Review invoices to ensure proper documentation and authorization before processing.
- Manage three-way match invoices (PO, receipt, invoice).
- Prioritize payments based on discount opportunities and established terms.
Vendor Support
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.
Internal Support
- Maintain organized records and documentation in line with standard accounting practices.
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements.
- Review and approve employee expense reports for reimbursement.
- Process weekly payment runs, including credit card, ACH, and check payments.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and bank reconciliations.
- Evaluate accounts payable processes and contribute to improvements within the department.
- Provide support for additional projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent Accounts Payable experience
- Thorough knowledge of applicable general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
- High attention to detail
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
- Work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
